Easter Recap

Oh Mondays. Nothing like an Easter recap to ease me through...

Yesterday was Monkey’s first Easter and poor HBL had to work. But that didn’t stop Monkey and I from dying Easter eggs and baking lemon cupcakes.

Cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. Mmm, delish!

I wasn’t sure brown eggs could take a dye job, but ah-so, grasshopper!

BEFORE

AFTER

For lunch today, we’re having homemade chili and Easter egg salad sandwiches. How festive!

I hope everyone had a great Easter! Now let's get this Monday party started!

I have dyed easter eggs with my girls every year? Don't think we have ever cracked them open after the artwork is complete. Had no idea you could make such a pretty egg salad! Maybe I should start caling you Martha!

LOL, I usually throw the eggs away after the coloring and Caleb decides he's had his fill on color.

Would you be mad at me if I laugh at your peeled eggs with chunks and gouges in them?

Looks like you had a great holiday. Kids have a way of making sure every holiday is fun. Enjoy the egg salad, we still haven't made ours yet.

I, too, had no idea brown eggs could be died. Your eggs turned out lovely. We do eat our eggs but have never thought of the coloured egg salad thing.

When I was a kid, I had a thing about eating the dyed parts of the egg. it totally grossed me out. *L*
