Seventeen… Again?!

I thought when I graduated from high school, the zit situation was done. And for the most part, it was. That is, until last week.

I have a huge and painful pimple (a.k.a. BOIL) on my forehead. Am I stressed? PMS-ing? Or have the tides shifted, and I’m going back in time hormonally? I actually had to go to the store to peruse the zit cream aisle! I haven’t had to do that since I was seventeen!

Whose life am I living right now?

UPDATE: My Boil decided to invite his twin sister. Now, I look like I have two antennae coming out of my forehead. Double the pleasure.

Oh joy.

Aw god zits suck, I am still getting them, and I am a picker so they hang out extra long. I did find that Acne Free product line helped a lot...I need to get back on it. I now went on the BC that is supposed to clear up my skin and rid me of PMS...sounds a little too good to be true!

Ugh, I hate that when it happens. My secret weapon against these big nasty one is Terramycin. One dab (when you start feeling it coming out) and it's zapped.

I'm 35 and still can't get my skin to clear up!! Sucks!

LOL, I'm NOT laughing at you, but with you. I had a boil (HUGE zit) on my cheek last week. I have a remedy for them, you may laugh and call me nuts but it WORKS!

White bread lay it on a plate (CAN ONLY BE WHITE BREAD)

lightly coat it in sugar

BOILING hot water. Just enough to dampen the bread.

Put it on, over night and it will draw out the poison. (PROMISE)

My grandmother used to do those for us when we had bites of any kind, zits, or boils.

You have to do it over night though.

She used to be a chemist.

Good Luck

I thought I was past the age of zits as well but nope woke up to one above my top lip. I swear I'm going to be 90 years old and still getting them!

at least they're symmetrical? Yeah, wouldn't make me feel better either.

I keep wishing my skin would look young again, but forgot about the zit part...it happens to the best of us.

I remember how I broke out when I was pregnant. Oh my Gosh. Congratulations. I mean are you?
Oh forget it. It's probably just a zit.
Hugs.

I have the same problem. WTF?! But what's worse is now I also have dry skin and eczema to deal with. Lovely!
I've tried everything even a dermatologist. My skin still drives me crazy and I'm pretty sure it's hormones to blame.

I hear you! I have way more zits now than I ever did when I was in high school. Not cool, not cool at all. I think it may have something to do with all my pregnancy and hormone changes, darn it! What more does my body have to endure just to bring my lovely kids into this world?

That totally sucks! Sorry dear!

Huge and painful pimples are boils? Crap. Here I thought my cystic acne was bad enough--it's BOILS!

And you know what's worse? These zits always turn up when you have a special event coming and you wanna look your best.

ME TOO! I'm not even kidding. I have two diagonal twins up there on my forehead right now and I'm not happy!

I'm trying to figure out if Tami is screwing with you on that home remedy just to see if you'll actually try it or if she's serious. And if serious, are you supposed to somehow keep that piece of bread on your afflicted area while you sleep or just use it as a compress before going to sleep? Because if I had to keep it in place all night the cats would have a great snack while I was sleeping!

Ughhhh....I get them on my chin. I am too old for this!

Helene said...

I've heard that dabbing a little toothpaste on them at bedtime will help. If anything, you'll wake up feeling minty fresh. Okay, that wasn't really funny....I'm gonna go pop the zit on my chin now.

I know the feeling... I am having that same problem every once in a while. On my case, it is stress. :(

Ugh! I hate that. I keep waiting to hit that magic age where those kinds of things DON'T happen anymore...I'll let you know if I ever get there! :P
